Our 8ft shipping containers measure approximately 8ft x 7ft 3in x 7ft 5in externally. Inside, you get around 7ft 6in x 6ft 9in x 6ft 7in of usable space. They’re perfect when you need secure storage but don’t have room for a full-size unit.
What size is a mini container?
The smallest standard container we offer at Storage on Site is our 8ft container. At just under 2.5 metres long, this mini shipping container is ideal for tight spaces like driveways, gardens, or narrow sites where larger containers won’t fit.
What’s the smallest container you can buy?
The 8ft container is the smallest ISO container we offer for sale or hire. It’s designed to provide maximum security and durability in the most compact footprint available.
What is the difference between an 8ft and 10ft container?
The main difference is the size:
- 8ft container: approx. 2440mm long
- 10ft container: approx. 3050mm long
While the 10ft gives you a bit more space, the 8ft is better for tighter access areas. Both offer excellent weatherproof and secure storage.
How much does an 8ft shipping container weigh?
An 8ft container has a tare weight of 0.9 tonnes (900kg). It’s heavy-duty enough to withstand theft and weather, but still light enough to position on driveways or smaller sites using our crane-equipped delivery trucks.
