Big news from Storage on Site… we’ve expanded! We’ve added 3 more acres to our yard, giving us the space and facilities to work smarter, faster, and even more safely. With two brand-new hangars, upgraded infrastructure, and plenty of room for our growing fleet, this investment is a big step forward for the business. It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to doing things properly – investing in our people, our equipment, and the service we deliver to every customer.
From Humble Beginnings, to Industry Leaders
When Storage on Site began, we were a small team with a simple mission: to provide secure, reliable, and flexible site storage and site accommodation solutions. Over the years, our fleet has grown, our customer base has expanded, and our services have evolved, but our core values have remained the same. We’ve always believed in doing things the right way, investing in quality equipment, and looking after our people and customers.

A Paint Bay Built for All Seasons
One of the standout additions to the new site is our brand-new paint bay – a fully enclosed hangar designed to take our finishing capabilities to the next level. Previously, our paint work was carried out under an open canopy, which meant we could be at the mercy of the weather. Now, with a ventilated indoor paint bay, we can work year-round in a controlled environment, improving both the finish and the turnaround time of our units.
The space has been designed with safety and sustainability in mind. A dedicated COSHH store is now in place to securely house all paints and chemicals, ensuring full compliance and safe working conditions for our team.
New Prepping Hangar Increases Efficiency
Alongside the paint bay is a second hangar, specifically built for prepping cabins that are both arriving from and heading out to customer sites. This new workflow setup means we can streamline the refurbishment and preparation process, reducing downtime and improving overall fleet availability.
We’ve fitted this hangar with energy-efficient LED lighting and have plans in place to install solar panels soon, further reducing our environmental impact.
Designed with Safety First
As part of our commitment to creating a safe and modern workplace, the new hangars are equipped with a Kratos fall arrest system. This allows our team to access all areas of the units safely and efficiently, particularly when working at height, whether cleaning, inspecting, or making repairs.
Safety has always been a top priority for us, and this new system gives our technicians the confidence to do their jobs securely while maintaining the highest standards.
A Home for Our Growing Fleet
The additional 3 acres of land is the new home of our units for hire, including cabins and containers of all sizes, staircases, tanks, and specialist units. This extra space means we can store and manage our equipment more effectively, maintain better inventory control, and respond even faster to customer needs.
The new yard is headed up by our experienced supervisors, Mark Goodship and Deon Schroven, who bring energy, leadership, and deep operational knowledge to the day-to-day running of the site. With their oversight, we’re confident the new facilities will operate smoothly and efficiently as we continue to scale.
