We’re excited to share another major milestone in the Storage on Site story. As part of our ongoing investment in people, processes, and facilities, we’ve installed a dedicated weather-protected container conversions bay at our depot in Marchwood, Southampton. This new bay significantly enhances our container modification capabilities, allowing the team to manage projects entirely in-house, from planning to delivery.
Growing our container conversion capabilities is an exciting new chapter for the team at Storage on Site. Led by our in-house expert Ashleigh, we offer completely bespoke container modifications including container kiosks, classrooms, offices, container toppers for self storage sites, and multi-door units. Using the latest in CAD technology and our expert team of welders and engineers, we can transform standard units into custom cabins and storage facilities to suit your needs.
To facilitate more container conversion projects, our team needed a dedicated workspace, sheltered from the elements and large enough to accommodate our largest 40ft units. We chose a 14m wide x 12.2m long Zappshelter system mounted on double-stacked shipping containers, providing ample clearance for our machinery. This shelter protects our projects (and our team!) from wind and rain, allowing us to complete conversions all year round.
